Today’s message is all about what I feel is the most important paradigm shift on the Kundalini awakening journey.
It’s the shift out of feeling like you’re being victimized by this process and into an attitude of understanding that what’s happening to you, is a good thing, possibly the greatest thing ever.
Check out the other parts of this series for more insights into the Kundalini awakening journey, interviews with people that have been travelling this path for years, and some basic principles to help you through your process safely and smoothly.

Now let’s look at the most important paradigm shift on the Kundalini journey.
There are two camps of people that I see. Those who know they are being blessed with a great invitation and transformation, and those who feel like this is all a big mistake.
There’s a line that must be crossed at some point during your process. That line marks the end of victimhood and the beginning of empowerment, gratitude, courage, faith and excitement.
Generally speaking, my work, if I can boil it down to the simplest terms, is to help people to cross that line.
Once you understand that this journey isn’t some sort of curse, that things aren’t going wrong, that bad things aren’t happening to you for no reason, everything changes and things go much more smoothly.
I meet with many people who seem to feel like their Kundalini process is a problem, a sickness, a major cause of unnecessary issues and challenges. They seek my support almost hoping that I can help them to just turn it off and make this all go away so they can go back to how things were before.
But I really want to invite you to see beyond feeling victimized by this process and to see that this is a great blessing and invitation.
Yes, it’s very true, this journey can be incredibly challenging on every level. Physical pains, emotional upheaval, your life can be turned upside down. It’s tough for many people at times. I’m not denying this. I know it’s not easy.
But that’s what I want to bring some context to.
You see, it’s as if you had some sort of tumour that needed to be removed. You go to the hospital and they perform surgery on you to remove this tumour. Surgery is painful, it’s scary, it’s messy. But usually, it’s necessary, and it’s going to work out for us.
The Kundalini process is kind of like surgery. We have to go through some challenging things before we can come out on the other side transformed and healed in a state of union or oneness with the Divine.
When people feel as if something is going wrong during their Kundalini process, it's kind of like somebody in the middle of their surgery getting up and questioning why they’re cut open and bleeding and stuff.
Understand that Kundalini is a process with a goal that will benefit you greatly. Just like surgery. You have to have faith in the process, just like you would have faith in the doctors that perform surgery on you.
When the doctors cut you up, they’re not victimizing you. They’re helping you. The same goes for the Kundalini process.
When you can make this shift, then everything begins to make sense and fall into place more easily. You no longer feel like a confused victim. You cultivate a sense of faith, trust, and surrender and in doing so, you’re able to cooperate with the process much more easily. This allows things to unfold more smoothly.
Remember, that this Kundalini process is something that has been sought after by travellers of the spiritual path for millennia. Really consider this. Throughout history, people have sought enlightenment, Self-Realization, God, peace, and well-being. They have wanted it so badly, that they gave up everything in order to attain it.
They left behind their careers, homes, families, friends, and everything, in order to seek out this process that you are living through right now.
By grace, you likely didn’t have to give up anything like that. And you’re able to have this process be carried out within you all while being able to remain in society and to keep your worldly life somewhat intact.
This is a great blessing. I really mean this. Many have given up everything and gone looking for how to awaken Kundalini and find the Divinity within. And you have had Kundalini awaken within you. Recognize what you have. Cherish it. This is not a curse. It is a great blessing.
I come across many people who seem to also focus almost exclusively on the negative aspects of their awakening. For example, if they are going through some emotional upheaval and purging, they focus on how hard and difficult it is. Now I can empathize, I know it’s hard. I’ve been through my own upheavals. But it’s important that we have courage and ask - how have these challenges helped me so far?
If you ask these questions, you’ll likely be able to admit that you have found a new sense of peace, perhaps you’ve experienced great bliss in your body, maybe you’ve developed new skills, maybe your awareness has expanded, maybe you feel connected to the Divine, to God, to the world. Don’t overlook all of these great gifts and only focus on the challenging parts. A victim looks at all the pain. Someone who is empowered looks at all the blessings.
Remember that yes, things can be hard at times. But these healing cycles are temporary and eventually, things will stabilize. There is a finite amount of stuff to be healed and released, but there is an infinite amount of peace and well-being that we can access. So we go through this process for a short while and then enjoy the rest of our lives and beyond in a state of expanded consciousness, in touch with our Divine nature. This is a worthwhile trade-off.
You are not a victim of your Kundalini process. You are blessed. I know things can be hard, but like surgery, there is a higher purpose and you will benefit in the end.
